Walter, a Chartered Insurance Practitioner, is in overall charge of operations. He started his career in Insurance industry during 1973 in India. He worked as a Manager of Prudential Assurance Company in Muscat until 1989. He has been active in Survey and Loss Adjusting since 1976.

Qualifications

• Graduate in Business Studies from Mysore University

• Associate of Insurance Institute of India

• Associate of Chartered Insurance Institute – London

• Associate of Indian Institute of Surveyors and Loss Adjusters

• Member of International Institute of Loss Adjusters Inc., Illinois – U.S.A.

• Passed with distinction in final assessment test in P & I Insurance and Loss Prevention course conducted by North of England P & I Association/ South Tyneside College.

Experience

Walter, has extensive experience in all facets of Insurance, pre acceptance risk and damage surveys and claims handling in Oman having worked here since 1976. He has dealt with large and complicated Insurance claims in Fire and allied perils, Marine, Money, Fidelity Guarantee, Public Liability, Contract and Erection works, Consequential Loss and Motor. He has handled on board cargo surveys and Cargo Discharge Supervision.

Some of the major claims handled by him are:-

• Two major fire claims with adjusted amounts of US$.3.5 million and US$.4.5 million.

• Two loss of profits claims with adjusted amounts of US$.0.75 million and US$.1.2 million.

• Marine claims involving steel, plywood, Project cargo and frozen food valued upto US$.1 million.

• Storm claims under Fire and Contractors works Policies valued up to US$.2.0 million.

• Marine hull claims valued upto US$.400,000.

• Theft/Employee dishonesty claims valued up to US$.100,000.

• Liability claims valued up to US$1,000,000.
