FIRE AND ALLIED PERILS

We have handled 2,820 claims in this class of business. Mainly claims were due to fire and storm damages to foodstuff, Textiles, readymade garments, electronic items, factories manufacturing oil, paper, steel batteries etc. In the process of handling claims we have arranged forensic investigations, machinery cleaning/recovery through experts from abroad. Two major fire claims handled by us were adjusted at US$.3.5 million and US$.4.5 million. Two loss of Profit claims were adjusted at US$.0.65 million and US$.1.2 million.

MARINE & P & I

We have handled 2,557 claims for Insurers, Protection and Indemnity clubs and carriers. Claims were mainly in respect of damage to Machinery, construction materials, food grains, vehicles, yachts, fishing vessels and frozen food. We have carried out on board surveys of cargo, discharge supervision, pre-shipment surveys. Largest marine cargo claim handled by us was submitted at US$. 1 million.

CONTRACTOR’S ALL RISK

We have handled 680 claims in this class of business. Claims were mainly for damages due to Storm, Flood, Fire and accidental damage to third party property. We have handled claims for damage to commercial/residential buildings, temporary buildings, roads, schools, hospitals etc. Largest Contractors All Risk claim handled by us was submitted at US$.2.2 million.

CONTRACTOR’S PLANT AND MACHINERY

We have handled 307 claims in this class of business. Claims were mainly due to accidents whilst in operation and fire. We have handled claims for mobile/tower cranes, lifting tackle, earth moving equipments, rock breaking equipments etc. Largest single machinery damage claim handled by us was adjusted at US$.225,000.

MACHINERY BREAKDOWN

We have handled 86 claims under Machinery Breakdown Insurance. Claims were mainly in respect of air dryer, extrusion machinery, cold store machinery, wire drawing machines, marble cutting machinery etc. Largest single claim handled was US$.50,000.

MOTOR

We have handled 5,852 claims in this class of business. Generally claims were in respect of Passenger cars and commercial vehicles.

FIDELITY GUARANTEE

We have handled 252 claims in this class of business. Generally claims were in respect of Traveling salesmen absconding with employer’s money/goods. Generally claims were of medium size. Largest single claim handled by us was submitted at US$.250,000.

MISCELLANEOUS

We have handled 82 claims under Travel insurance, Jewellery/home contents and Money Insurance. Largest claim handled in this area was claimed at US$.100,000.

PUBLIC LIABILITY

We have handled 45 claims under Public Liability Insurance. Largest single claim was submitted at US$.1,000,000.

RISK SURVEYS

We have handled over 89 Pre acceptance risk surveys, mainly Industrial Establishments, Industrial Estates and 5 star hotels.
